Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026
GridironPlan (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides an app that helps football coaches plan practices, manage a roster, and organize drills for their team. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this applies to
GridironPlan accounts are created and used by coaches and team staff (adults). Coaches may enter information about players on their roster, including players who are minors, and about those players' parents or guardians, as part of managing their team within the app. GridironPlan does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and children do not create their own accounts.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name and email address, provided when you sign up or via Google/Apple Sign-In
- A profile photo, if you choose to upload one
- Authentication data handled by our backend provider, Supabase (see Section 5)
Team and roster data (entered by coaches)
- Team name, age group, and season
- Player names, jersey numbers, and positions
- Parent/guardian name, email, and phone number, if entered by the coach
- Practice plans, drills, and notes created within the app
Automatically collected information
GridironPlan does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Our backend infrastructure (Supabase) and app distribution platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play, and this website) may log standard technical data such as device type, crash logs, and API request metadata as part of operating the service.
3. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in
- To provide the app's core features: practice planning, roster management, and drill libraries
- To send account-related emails, such as password resets
- To communicate with you about the service, if you contact us for support
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use roster or player data for advertising.
4. How coaches share roster information
The “Email Roster” feature in the mobile app opens your device's own email app with roster contact details pre-filled, so that you can send messages directly from your personal email account. GridironPlan does not send these emails on your behalf and does not retain a copy of them.
5. Where data is stored
GridironPlan is built on Supabase, which provides our database, authentication, and file storage, and is shared by both the mobile app and this website. Data you enter — account details, roster information, practice plans, and uploaded photos — is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. We use Resend to deliver transactional emails such as password resets.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain account and team data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a team, its roster, plans, and drills are removed. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted entirely, contact us using the details below and we will process the request.
7. Children's privacy
GridironPlan is intended for use by coaches and team staff who are adults. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. Information about minors (such as roster entries) is entered and controlled by the coach managing the team, who is responsible for having appropriate authorization from a parent, guardian, or league to store that information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been entered into the app and you'd like it removed, contact us below or your team's coach directly.
8. Your choices
- You can edit or remove your own profile information at any time from the app's More → Edit Profile screen.
- Coaches can edit or delete roster entries directly from the Roster tab.
- You can request account deletion by contacting us below.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
